Everquest is the original first person MMORPG game, most if not all other MMORPG's have at least taken inspiration form Everquest, it is effectively the template for this genre of gaming. There is an interactive Map of Maps to the right Click the map --->
Trains in Everquest
Trains can be fun, it goes like this: your party enter a dangerous dungeon and begin killing mobs, progressing deeper and deeper into the dungeon towards the Elite and Boss mobs and the Treasure.
After a while the mobs behind you start re-spawning and other players enter the dungeon and begin fighting often lower level players.
Often usually when fighting the very biggest scariest monsters down deep in the dungeon your group decides that they're not going to win the fight and someone shouts "RuuuuNNN!!"
So your group starts running for their lives with the scary mobs chasing, as you pass the re-spawned mobs they begin to chase you also, it may have taken you hours to get to the end of the dungeon trains can be Epic in size"
Then the other players hear the shout "TRaaaaiiinnnn !!!" hopefully because its quite hard typing and running for your life.
Your group zones out to safety, the train stops and begins slaughtering everyone in the zone.
No other MMORPG ever achieved that level of excitement, EQ can be harsh at times but that is the very reason Everquest is fun to play, and the reason its been around to over 13 years.
